Capturing Light

This painting initially came about from an incredible photo reference which I ultimately abandoned in favor of my own observations of light and clouds. Painted on a smooth Ampersand panel there is still some texture to give more dimension. Framed in a classic gold lipped black plein air frame and ready to hang.
